All Your Floral Wedding Dreams Come True at This Minnesota Barn Wedding – Jeremiah and Kalie Korfe

Hello!!

There are a lot of firsts going on here! My name is Kalie Wright Korfe, and this is my very first blog post on the STONE HILL FARM B L O G…. It just so happens that it is also about my very own wedding! To give you a little back-story, Jeremiah and I own a sweet little farm that has transformed over the past several years into what we now know as Stone Hill Farm.

We started out with NOTHING. I repeat… nothing. When Jeremiah purchased the property back in 2012ish, the barn was near-death/almost caved in. We used all the wood, materials, and family-volunteerism we had available to us as a start to this journey…. I’m going to save all the intricate details for a different post, because NOW we’re going to fast forward to the day that truly represented the beautiful fruits of our YEARS of our labor. Our wedding was the first one in our barn since the new build! To say it was an emotional day would be an understatement, because let’s be honest: anyone who has ever done ANY project at all with their significant other will tell you that it can be challenging at times. Now, x that by 100 and plan a wedding at the same time, and that’s how I felt in the months leading up. All this to say there may have been extreme moments of emotional release on this day. It all worked out to be more than we could’ve hoped for, and it truly was like seeing my dreams become a reality, as my wedding also opened the doors to my business.

Our wedding style in three words would be romantic, botanical, & elegant. I LOVE flowers — Fragrant, beautiful, timeless, natural, and elegant. I wanted to incorporate a lot of natural beauty to accentuate our barn. A few highlights for me would be the jaw-dropping pergola and the cascading staircase greens designed by myself and Flourish in Bloom.

The wedding day started with us doing last-minute tool cleanups (because YES we were building, cleaning, and putting up final touches on the build project right up until our first look), but we couldn’t help but be overwhelmed by the incredible accomplishment the day turned out to be.

I CANNOT say THANK YOU enough to every single person who made our dream day possible. More than anything I was overwhelmed by the love displayed in each person who set aside time out of their schedules to fly/drive/work/slave/cook/clean/support and help us during the weeks and month leading up to our day! It took a whole lot of people, pizza, and prayers —What makes Stone Hill Farm so special is the legacy built out of a strong community and genuinely good hearts.

We had some PHENOMENAL wedding vendors from all over the state of Minnesota! Each one of them played a huge part in making this day a success! I would 10 out of 10 personally recommend any vendor from this list below ↓

“It took a whole lot of people, pizza, and prayers —What makes Stone Hill Farm so special is the legacy built out of a strong community and genuinely good hearts.”

During the wedding ceremony we decided to do a non-traditional unity ceremony. Rather than a candle lighting or a knot-braiding (still awesome & meaningful options) we decided to things K + J style…  A friend of ours customized a piece of walnut wood to say “Kalie & Jeremiah First wedding of 2019 at Stone Hill Farm”. Right after the vows we took out a power drill and put the “final screw” in our building – permanently attaching our beautiful plaque to the wood backdrop wall. Besides it being the symbolic finale of our years of building, it was also fun showing our guests how Miss Minnesota USA can hold her own with the power tools 😉

It still feels like a dream! I’ve honestly never felt so much love and support in my entire life… Over 450 people ended up coming together, eating, drinking, dancing, poloroiding, and smiling our faces off. Friends and family from around the world joined us at our farm here in Eagle Bend, Minnesota and surrounded us in ABUNDANT LOVE. To top off the night, we transformed the upstairs of the barn into a full-blown concert featuring Contention and my hubby, Jeremiah James Korfe!

Thank you for reliving this special day with me! It is an honor to have such a unique and special place to share with so many other families. The weight of how privileged we are to be trusted with the most important day of so many couple’s lives is not lost on me, and I can’t wait to feature more amazingly beautiful weddings here at STONE HILL FARM!! Until next time!

XOXO,

This is truly a special place! From the love put into this old farm, the beauty shines thru and it is bright and unlike anything. We celebrated my beautiful daughters wedding to unite her and her amazing best friend just this past weekend. It was amazing! Someday I hope to marry my bestfriend here as well! Who knows, I did catch the bouquet! Highly, highly recommend this gorgeous barn and 2 amazing people that will make your day just as special as if it was their own! You two are amazing!
